Behavioral Health
The need for behavioral health has grown tremendously. In Hampton Roads alone, the need far outnumbers the treatment options available. A critical lack of inpatient behavioral health beds across Hampton Roads means many are left without the support they need while others are stuck in the emergency room for days waiting on a facility to have an open spot.
Concerns about behavioral health issues, including substance abuse, have grown through the COVID-19 pandemic, and the effects will outlast the pandemic itself.
We must address the growing needs now to ensure a healthy future for generations to come.
The Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation (CRHF) was established in 1993 to help further the mission and vision of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare (CRH).
