Where Your Gift Goes

All contributions to the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation are used to directly support our people and patients—and are kept separate from hospital operations.

You can choose to support:

Employee Relief Fund

Helping our teammates when they need it most. This fund provides one-time financial assistance to employees facing unexpected emergencies or catastrophic events.

Area of Greatest Need

A flexible fund that allows the Foundation to respond quickly to urgent priorities—ensuring support goes where it’s needed most.

Employee Giving Campaign FAQs

1. What is the Chesapeake Regional Health Foundation Employee Giving Campaign?
   The Employee Giving Campaign is an opportunity for team members to support the mission and vision of Chesapeake Regional Medical Center through charitable giving. It helps foster a culture of philanthropy, compassion, and community within our workplace.
2. Can I participate if I am a contract worker and not a direct CRH employee?
   Absolutely! Contract workers are welcome to participate. You can make a donation online through the CRHF website using a credit card or bank account. Flexible options include bi-weekly, monthly, or one-time gifts. The site is secure, and you will receive an automatic receipt.
3. What are my payment options?
   We offer a variety of convenient giving options:
   • Payroll deduction
   • PAL (Paid Annual Leave) donation
   • Credit card
   • PayPal or Venmo
   • Check
   • Online giving through the CRHF website
4. How does a PAL (Paid Annual Leave) donation work?
   Direct CRH employees may choose to donate their Paid Annual Leave by cashing it in at 100% value (after taxes). Simply select this option on your giving form.
5. Can I make a one-time gift instead of recurring donations?
   Yes! You can choose to make either a one-time gift or set up recurring donations—whatever works best for you.
6. Can I choose where my donation goes?
   Yes, you may designate your gift to: “Employee Assistance Fund” or “Area of Greatest Need”. If no selection is made, your donation will automatically support the Area of Greatest Need.
7. Is there a minimum donation amount required?
   There is no minimum donation—every gift makes a difference.
   Please note: minimum giving levels may apply for certain incentive packages.
8. Will my donation be confidential?
   Yes, all donations are kept confidential and are only accessible to authorized Foundation staff.
   Donors contributing $130 or more may be recognized on the Giving Wall unless they choose to remain anonymous.
9. Will I receive a receipt for tax purposes?
   Yes, all donors will receive an annual acknowledgment letter for tax purposes summarizing their contributions.
10. How and when will I receive my incentives?
    Incentives will be delivered to your department through inter-office mail. Most items are in stock and will arrive quickly. If an item or size is temporarily unavailable, it will be ordered and delivered as soon as possible.
